Uncertain and just don't know where to begin
QuoteReply
I'm a stay at home mom of two (4 and 2)... My husband and I are discussing divorce. We've been trying to work on things and have been in counseling for 9 months but it's just not working out. He has a CPS record for abusing our oldest but has not been harming our child since this case was over. I had him removed from the home and the restraining order was not upheld by the commissioner. During this time he filed for divorce and I was also given notice that the children were not to be removed from our shared home. I was able to leave but could not take my children so I stayed with him and we began our marriage counseling. I have no job and no family here to support me or stay with. We have already filed for chapter 13 bankruptcy so our debt is minimal with just the monthly payment. He makes good money but wants split custody.. which I believe to be because he doesn't want to have to pay the full child support amount set by law. I'm afraid that I won't be able to find a job in order for me to get my own place, can't afford an attorney to help me with the divorce. I'm sorry if this post is not at all formulated or coherent..I'm just not sure what to do. He has the advantage of having been divorced twice before and knowing what to do and expect, having an attorney and also being gainfully employed.

Have you heard of cheap divorce?
More than a million couples have used online divorce to hasten the process and save a lot of money. As you probably know, divorce law is administered on a state basis and what rules are applicable in one state may vary elsewhere. That is another benefit of dealing with online divorce experts. They know the local laws and will advise you specifically on matters which directly impact on your situation.

Another option is seek for free legal assistance or divorce support groups in your area. If I'm not mistaken, every state provides free legal services to eligible clients.
