fastest way to get custody?

what is basically the fastest way to get custody? restraining order hire a lawyer? essentially, i have had the children but now she is not letting me see them.  the fact is that i have custody.

you should not file a restraining order unless there is a credible threat of violence or violence in the recent past.  otherwise you need to file a Motion and Declaration for a Temporary Order, and then list in that document a Parenting Plan as one of the Orders you seek from the court. 

most counties have a 14 notice period between when you serve (deliver) the documents and when the court hearing is scheduled for. so 14 days is pretty much the quickest unless there is imediate danger imminent which would justify you going into court without notice to the other party. be careful with that option. just being "the better parent" will NOT qualify you for this type of relief. you are basically looking at 14 days.

obviously the next step is developing the all important evidence for that hearing which is a big issue.

you should act quickly and if you can afford one you should really hire an attorney.
