Unpaid Child Support
QuoteReply

Hello,

My ex has a back due amount over 56000.00 (yup and only ordered to pay 390 a month- couldn't manage that)  and has now racked up this huge past due amount. Also refusing to offer his assistance for oldest son in college (no its not in the papers). However, he has been prosecuting for contempt twice- nothing seems to work. My question is simply, can I mail him past due notices? Or should I hire an attorney and sue him for the money? The two younger children are 14 and 12- and no he hasn't seen them in years ( or called for that matter). So, what to do? Try to get the money or walk away from the money owed to the children. Since my oldest is in a private college that money would pay for a year of his education. Thanks.
