My ex and I have a child together. He has left the home. I have always cared for the child.. most of the time with little or no help from him. He has pushed to get back together and I have declined. Now he says that all he has to do is file something with the court saying that our child lives with him and he will just come take our child. He says that I will then have to fight him for custody and even though I will get the child back.. that he will have made my life hell in the mean time. He has a lot more money then I do. Can he do this? Can I also file papers stating that the child, does in fact, live with me. We are both on the birth certificate but we are not married. Thanks
